OKUBO is a Japanese Pokémon TCG illustrator who debuted in the Scarlet & Violet era with Obsidian Flames (2023) and has since illustrated cards across numerous sets including Paradox Rift, Temporal Forces, Twilight Masquerade, Surging Sparks, and Pokémon TCG Pocket. Their signature style is a distinctive polygon/geometric approach that layers low-poly shapes, light, and shadow to create visually intricate compositions, often with natural framing elements such as vines, branches, and moonlit shadows drawing the eye toward the focal Pokémon. OKUBO was selected as one of six special guest artists at the 2025 Pokémon World Championships, reflecting their rising prominence in the TCG illustration community.
