matazo (またぞう) is a Japanese illustrator who has contributed to the Pokémon TCG since the Scarlet & Violet era, debuting with the Obsidian Flames expansion and going on to illustrate over 35 cards across sets including Night Wanderer, Stellar Miracle, Mask of Change, and Battle Partners. Their style is characterized by muted color palettes with dramatic, harsh lighting and shadow that places Pokémon subjects in striking, atmospheric spotlight compositions. matazo is active on X/Twitter as @matazozozo and also illustrates cards for Pokémon TCG Pocket.
