Masakazu Fukuda

Pokémon card illustrator

Masakazu Fukuda is a freelance illustrator who spent 11 years doing character design and main graphics at a game studio before going independent and joining the Pokémon TCG in 2004, debuting in EX FireRed & LeafGreen with Meowth, Persian, and Tauros. He describes his own work as cute, colorful, and vibrant, leaning on a strong eye for color and detail to give each Pokémon character and depth. He also illustrates for other trading card games and designs characters for social games.
