Kouki Saitou is a freelance illustrator who has worked on the Pokémon TCG since 2002, debuting in the Aquapolis expansion with Rapidash, Octillery, and Miltank. His style leans on realism and dynamism — often echoing the look of the anime — using dramatic high and low camera angles plus light and shadow to convey motion and depth. Beyond cards he produces box art, key art, merchandise illustrations, and manga for The Pokémon Company.
