K. Hoshiba

Pokémon card illustrator

K. Hoshiba (Japanese: 保志場慶, Kei Hoshiba) is a Japanese 3D graphic designer who contributed to the Pokémon TCG beginning with the Neo Genesis set, illustrating cards that feature polished 3D Pokémon models rendered with dynamic lighting and elemental effects — styles derived from his parallel work modeling Pokémon for games such as Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. His TCG work spans the Neo, e-Card, and EX eras, covering cards such as Magnemite, Typhlosion, and Team Aqua's Kyogre, and he is also credited with designing the enduring No. 2 and No. 3 Trainer World Championship trophy cards introduced at the 2004 World Championships.
